While I much prefer playing on DraftKings to FanDuel, sometimes we can find an edge by playing on different sites. Players are priced uniquely to each site, and there may be someone that jumps out to you that’s just too expensive to roster on DK. Generally, players are priced higher on FD than DK, so a red flag is always finding a player priced lower on FD. Here are some plays that I feel are underpriced on FD for the Week 12 main slate.
Matt Ryan ($7,900) vs. TB
There aren’t really any underpriced QBs on either site to take advantage of, so we’ll just continue to target the one with the best matchup. Ryan’s $1,200 cheaper on DK, but is still priced to be the best point-per-dollar play at QB on FD.
Leonard Fournette ($7,000) at TEN
Fournette is actually $300 cheaper on FD than DK, which should always grab your attention. He only has 19 total carries in the last two games combined, but Jacksonville’s been outscored 59-16. He caught 12-of-13 targets in those two games, so we know he’ll figure to be a big piece of the game plan still.
Jaylen Samuels ($6,900) at CIN
Samuels is also $300 cheaper on FD than on DK, and sets up in a spectacular fantasy spot. James Conner has been ruled out with a shoulder injury, which means Samuels draws the start against a horrible Bengals run defense. Josh Jacobs rans for 112 yards on 23 carries against Cincy last week.
Michael Thomas ($9,200) vs. CAR
Thomas has consistently been a better bargain on FD. He’s $100 cheaper than his DK salary this week, and is by far the safest WR target in any fantasy format. The full PPR on DK helps his value more, but you’d still be hard pressed to find a better play on FD.
Julio Jones ($8,400) vs. TB
If there is a better play, it’s Julio. Jones is $400 more on FD, but he’s worth every bit against Tampa — which has allowed the most fantasy points to WR this season. The Falcons are playing very well right now, are favored at home, and face a team Julio’s dominated in recent seasons.
Zach Ertz ($6,100) vs. SEA
TE is always really tough on FD. Ertz has been targeted 22 times over the last two games, and finally putting up big numbers. At only $100 more than his DK price, he makes for good value. I’d like to look for a cheaper TE, but value just isn’t there on FD. Vance McDonald is $3,500 on DK, but costs $5,300 on FD. He’s worth considering, but the salary difference is alarming.
Washington D/ST ($3,000) vs. DET
With FD D/ST plays going all the way up to $5,000, getting a defense playing at home against a backup QB for $3,000 is a steal. The Lions still probably win this game, but it could come ugly with some sacks and turnovers.
