How to handle Tom Brady injury in Week 12 fantasy football

Patriots QB Tom Brady was a late addition to the final injury report. We break down the fantasy implications, but it’s safe to say you can start him with confidence.

The New England Patriots are 9-1, but they’re dealing with a host of injuries heading into a Week 12 inter-conference showdown with the Dallas Cowboys. Their top three wide receivers are all listed as questionable, and on Friday, they added quarterback Tom Brady to the injury report.

Brady did not appear on the Wednesday and Thursday reports. On Friday, the team listed him as limited with an elbow injury. He was designated as questionable for Sunday.

Fantasy football analysis: Patriots QB Tom Brady

We all know Brady will play. NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted that this was more about managing Brady’s elbow, and he is expected to play. Not exactly shocking news, but Bill Belichick can be one to game the injury report.

The Cowboys don’t have the most efficient of pass defenses, but they’ve given up the eighth fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Brady is a guy you want to start, but I think we see a better performance than last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. He completed 26 of 47 passes for only 216 yards and no touchdowns. Look for him to find the end zone this week and get back on track.
