What to do with Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Randall Cobb in Week 12 fantasy football

The Cowboys’ aerial attack put on a show last week, but has to deal with a tough opponent on Sunday. We break down whether you should target Dallas’ WRs this week.

We saw the full potential of the Dallas Cowboys’ offense last week against the Detroit Lions. In a 35-27 win, Dak Prescott was able to find Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb consistently throughout the game, with the duo combining for 13 catches, 263 yards and a TD. Unfortunately Amari Cooper couldn’t get much involved, finishing with there catches for 38 yards on the day. Overall, it’s been an up-and-down season for the Cowboys and their offense, and things won’t get easy this week against the New England Patriots in Foxboro.

Fantasy Football Analysis: Dallas Cowboys wide receivers

The Patriots pretty much rank first in all defensive categories this season, but you already knew that. Cooper may be a fade this week, which is nuts, but he’ll most likely be shadowed by Stephon Gilmore. In shallow leagues, you can probably bench Cooper, but deeper ones you may have a tougher decision. As for Gallup and Cobb, Prescott has been looking their way often, but again, there may not be many targets and yards to go around. Cobb is an OK FLEX option in PPR leagues — I’d really only play any of the three in PPR, but even that’s a stretch. The game script could play in their favor, however, since we can expect the Pats to put up points, forcing the Cowboys to throw.

Start/Sit Recommendation

Cooper: Start in deeper leagues (PPR only), sit in 8 or 10 team leagues.
Gallup: Sit unless you’re desperate.
Cobb: Start in deep PPR as a FLEX only. Sit in any other situation.
