What to do with Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert in Week 12 fantasy football

The Eagles are dealing with banged up wide receivers and could be missing Jordan, which opens the door for the tight ends. We break down the fantasy football start/sit implications in Week 12.

Both Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert have been playable fantasy assets this season. Since Week six, Goedert has averaged 11.3 fantasy points to Ertz’s 12.2 while in Standard, Goedert has a slight lead in fantasy points. In that span, Ertz has seen eight targets a game to Goedert’s 5.6. Ertz remains the top target, but Goedert sees enough work, especially in the red zone, to keep having fantasy value. Over the last three games, Goedert has four red zone targets to Ertz’s zero.

Fantasy football analysis: Philadelphia Eagles TEs Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert

The Eagles face the Seahawks in Philadelphia on Sunday, which has been a good matchup for tight ends this season. The Seahawks give up the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends and rank 23rd in DVOA against the position.

Ertz has 11 targets in each of his last two games and caught 18 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown. He’s surging right now and should continue to do so. Goedert is riskier, as his target numbers aren’t high enough to give him a strong game without a touchdown, but he’s also scored in three of his last four games. The matchup should elevate both enough to make Goedert a useful streamer.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Ertz TE1.
Start Goedert TE 1/2.
