Top daily fantasy football RB plays over $6,000 in Week 12

Will Kareem Hunt render Nick Chubb useless in daily fantasy? We break down your best high-value RB options in Week 12 DFS.

The Sunday kickoffs for Week 12 are almost here, and it’s time to start plotting out your Week 12 DFS lineups. In Week 11, a lot of the usual suspects dominated, but we had some under-the-radar names step up in a big way to key folks to victory.

If you find good value elsewhere in your DFS lineup, that affords you the luxury of ponying up for a premium player at a different position. If you’re able to spend a little more money on a player, who not make it the running back position?

So here are three best running back plays over $6,000 that could provide the best value for Week 12. Values from DraftKings.

Nick Chubb (CLE) - $8,100

The Cleveland Browns are hosting the Miami Dolphins this week, who rank 30th in the NFL against opposing running backs in 2019. Kareem Hunt is slowly being worked into the Cleveland offense, but Chubb is still the primary back for the Browns. That means Chubb will be the workhorse to help the Browns establish a lead early and will likely be the player asked to help keep the lead late by grinding out the clock.

Jaylen Samuels (PIT) - $7,200

When is facing the 28th-ranked rush defense a better opportunity than facing the 30th-ranked? When you don’t have a player like Kareem Hunt on your team to steal touches away from you. The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing in Cincinnati to face the 28th-ranked defense, but the Steelers will be without James Conner who has already been ruled out for Sunday. With Samuels acting as the lead back, and one of Mason Rudolph’s primary targets in the passing game, he could be in store for a big game against the lowly Bengals.

Aaron Jones (GB) - $7,000

Aaron Jones and the Green Bay Packers don’t have quite the matchup on paper as the other two players on this list, as the Packers travel to the Bay Areaa to face the San Francisco 49ers and the NFL’s 6th-best rush defense. Kenyan Drake and the Arizona Cardinals have shown that running straight at the 49ers defense could be successful (Drake ran for 110 yards and a touchdown in Week 9). The Packers offense can still move the ball down the field, and Aaron Jones at worst could get cheap goal line touchdowns, so he’s still an incredible value play coming in $3,500 cheaper than Christian McCaffrey.
