The Sunday kickoffs for Week 12 are almost here, and it’s time to start plotting out your Week 12 DFS lineups. In Week 11, a lot of the usual suspects dominated, but we had some under-the-radar names step up in a big way to key folks to victory.
If you find good value elsewhere in your DFS lineup, that affords you the luxury of ponying up for a premium player at a different position. If you’re able to spend a little more money on a player, who not make it the quarterback position?
So here are three best quarterbacks plays over $6,000 that could provide the best value for Week 12. Values from DraftKings.
Drew Brees (NO) - $6,600
Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are set to host the division rival Carolina Panthers this week, who are only middle-of-the-pack in the NFL against the pass. Unfortunately for the Panthers, the Saints are bringing future Hall of Famer Drew Brees and 2019 MVP candidate Michael Thomas (who leads the NFL in both receptions and receiving yards) into the game. Everyone knows how prolific Sean Payton and the Saints offense is at home, so Drew Brees could be in store for a monster game in the Dome.
Matt Ryan (ATL) - $6,700
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are significantly worse than just middle-of-the-road, currently ranked 30th in the NFL against opposing quarterbacks. The Bucs are facing the Atlanta Falcons this week, and it appears like the Falcons may have finally turned a corner in 2019, beating Panthers by 26 points last week. While it might be too little too late for the Atlanta Falcons season, it isn’t too late for Matt Ryan’s usage in daily fantasy. Mohamed Sanu might be gone, but Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley are still there, and Matt Ryan is still capable of putting up big numbers, so it could be three wins in a row for the Falcons behind another strong offensive performance.
Jameis Winston (TB) - $6,200
On the other hand, maybe the clock strikes midnight and the Atlanta Falcons turn back into a pumpkin. The Atlanta Falcons were absolutely abysmal against the pass to start 2019, but have somehow seemed to turn a massive corner over the last two weeks. Maybe that’s a sign of the way things are now after a coaching staff shuffle, or maybe these two weeks were simply an aberration. If the Falcons go back to stinking up the joint against opposing quarterbacks, Jameis Winston is more than capable of delivering a solid game (assuming his ankle holds up).
