The San Francisco 49ers are hoping to get tight end George Kittle back for Week 12 Sunday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers, but running back Matt Breida is unlikely to play. Breida did not practice this week as he continues recovering from a sprained ankle, and is listed as doubtful. That designation means he has a 25 percent or less chance of playing this weekend.
Fantasy football analysis: 49ers RB Matt Breida
Breida’s likely absence means Raheem Mostert will get his snaps behind Tevin Coleman. Breida emerged as a fairly even complement to Coleman, but Mostert would likely get a lesser share of touches.
The Packers run defense is awful, so there is some upside for Mostert this weekend. It’d be better suited for deeper leagues though, because Coleman seems a stronger bet to get the bulk of the workload. Mostert is worth a look in deeper leagues, while Coleman is a must start in most any league — particularly with Kittle returning to improve the run-blocking.
