The Seattle Seahawks will have their full contingent of wide receivers when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12. Tyler Lockett has been cleared to play and removed from the final injury report heading into the weekend, per beat writer Bob Condotta.
Prior to the Seahawks Week 11 bye, Lockett suffered a leg injury in the fourth quarter of Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers. He spent two nights in a Bay Area hospital, but head coach Pete Carroll was optimistic throughout that Lockett would not miss any games. And so, it now appears that will be the case.
Fantasy football analysis: Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett
The Seahawks are suddenly looking very deep at wide receiver, with Lockett and DK Metcalf in the starting lineup and Josh Gordon coming off the bench. Gordon had a limited role in Week 10, and likely will see some additional work against the Eagles.
The Eagles have given up the fifth most fantasy points to the wide receiver position. Lockett is a must start in all formats this weekend. Metcalf stepped up in the 49ers game, and Gordon had a couple big third down catches. Metcalf remains a solid standard league option, while Gordon is a little more difficult to figure out. He’s probably worth benching this week, but at some point I’d think he would build some substantial momentum in this offense. For now, wait and see.
