The New York Giants posted their final injury report for Week 12, and wide receiver Sterling Shepard does not appear on it. Shepard has been out since suffering a concussion in Week 5. He looked like he was going to get back a couple weeks ago, but concussion symptoms returned. This week he got in three full practice sessions and was cleared through the team’s concussion protocol.
If Shepard experiences any concussion symptoms between now and Sunday, he would have to go back into the protocol. For the time being, it appears he is good to go and should be playing on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy football analysis: Giants WR Sterling Shepard
It’s hard to justify moving Shepard into your starting lineup for the time being. The Giants offense is a mess and even with Evan Engram sidelined, it’s hard to see production spread sufficiently. Golden Tate is the only wide receiver worth starting, but it will be worth monitoring how Shepard looks with Daniel Jones.
If you’ve got a spare roster spot, Shepard could be worth a stash. If your roster is a bit tight, there’s no reason to add him yet.
