Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery returned for a second straight day of limited practice on Thursday, and appears on track to play in Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks. Jeffery injured his ankle in Week 9 and was unable to get back following the Eagles Week 10 bye. He was inactive last week after sitting out all three days of practice.
The Eagles wide receiver corps was limited last week to Nelson Agholor, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Jordan Matthews, and Mack Collins. Agholor was busy with four receptions on nine targets, but tight end Zach Ertz was the busiest of the group. He had nine receptions out of 11 targets for 94 yards. Agholor has sat out two straight days of practice and is trending in the wrong direction.
Fantasy football analysis: Eagles WRs Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor
It’s been slow-going of late for Jeffery. He scored three touchdowns in the first six weeks, but otherwise has been fairly quiet. In Weeks 7, 8, and 9 he averaged just over three catches for 46 yards. He was regularly targeted but he’s not producing. The Seahawks defense is not what it once was, but it’s hard to get too excited for Jeffery returning this week. It’s a boost for Carson Wentz, but it’s hard to see Jeffery putting up much with the Eagles offense more focused on their running backs and tight ends.
