The Cleveland Browns are on track to welcome back tight end David Njoku this weekend when they face the Miami Dolphins. Njoku broke his wrist in Week 2 and was placed on injured reserve. He was designated to return this week and is eligible to play on Sunday, per beat writer Scott Petrak.
Ricky Seals-Jones has been the team’s primary tight end in his place. In eight games, he has nine receptions for 155 yards with two touchdowns. Demetrius Harris has appeared in ten games and has ten receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy football analysis: Browns TE David Njoku
It’s hard to justify starting a player so soon after returning from an extended layoff, but the tight end position is pretty bad in fantasy football. He’s worth a start in deeper leagues, but in shallower leagues it’s worth checking out the rest of the free agency market. That being said, Njoku is worth a roster stash in most leagues as we see how he looks coming back from IR.
