The final London game of the 2019 season starts early Sunday, with a 9:30 EST kickoff. It’s a divisional rematch rife with playoff implications between the “home” Jaguars and the Texans. The Texans are second in the division, a half-game behind the Colts, and currently hold the final Wild Card spot in the AFC. The Jaguars are third in the division, a game behind the Texans and 1.5 back from the Colts, and are seventh in the AFC. A win for the Texans would give them a commanding lead and the tiebreaker over a crucial opponent, while a Jaguars win would move them into the Wild Card spot and an advantage the division record tiebreaker.

While this isn’t actually a Jaguars’ home game, the Jags have played more London games than any other NFL franchise, playing there in each of the past six seasons. That familiarity with the overseas travel, especially before an early game, should help them.
The Texans’ defense has struggled this season, especially against the pass, and losing J.J. Watt (pectoral) is only going to make matters worse. Jacksonville RB Leonard Fournette leads the NFL in carries and is second in rushing yards, and while QB Gardner Minshew has been inconsistent, he avoids turnovers and has shown the ability and willingness to make aggressive throws. The Jaguars’ defense has been strong against the pass and struggled to contain the run, so this could be a good game for Texans’ RB Carlos Hyde.
