Washington has been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. They have a 1-7 record, and a -96 point differential, third-worst in the league. Washington may also be without their starting quarterback, as Case Keenum was still in the concussion protocol early in the week. Head coach Bill Callahan has stated that Keenum will start if he can clear the protocol, but otherwise we will see rookie Dwayne Haskins. No matter who is under center for Washington, the team should have a tough time moving the ball against Buffalo’s defense, which has allowed the third-lowest yards per play as well as the third-lowest adjusted net yards per pass attempt. Washington ranks 28th and 29th in those statistics respectively on offense.

The Bills are the inverse of Washington, with a 5-2 record and +12 point differential. With that said, they have not faced a very intimidating schedule. Buffalo’s opponents have a combined 19-35 record, and eight of those wins belong to the Patriots, who beat the Bills in Buffalo earlier this year. It is possible this team is not as good as its record says. Additionally, the Bills have just a 5.1 adjusted net yards per pass attempt, 27th in the league. Where this team wins on offense is the ground game. Buffalo is sixth in rushing yards per carry, and eighth in rushing yards per game.
