Robert Woods status TBD for Week 12

The Rams deactivated wide receiver Robert Woods in Week 11 due to a personal issue. Sean McVay offered a little bit of insight into it after the game.

The Los Angeles Rams surprised everybody in Week 11 when they announced that wide receiver Robert Woods was inactive for their Sunday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens. He was not on the injury report and we did not get any indication this was even a possibility leading up to the game.

After the game, head coach Sean McVay offered some insight into Woods’ status, but could not go into lengthier details. Woods had a person issue come up that sounds like it was pretty serious.

Fantasy owners were pissed to no end by the last minute inactive decision, but given what McVay said after the game, it’s a helpful reminder to take a deep breath before deciding to lash out on something like this. Clearly something serious happened to Woods and/or his family and he had to deal with it.

The Rams return to practice on Thursday for their Monday Night Football contest against the Baltimore Ravens. Thursday is when they have to submit their first practice participation report, so we’ll probably hear a little bit more about Woods’ status at that point.
