James Conner injury not worse after Week 11, but in question for Week 12

Steelers RB James Conner is a question mark for Week 12 after aggravating his shoulder injury last Thursday. We break down the fantasy football implications.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back aggravated a separated shoulder injury in Week 11, but word is that it is not a bad injury, per NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero. His status for Week 12 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals is up in the air, but it does not sound like Conner would miss extended time.

Conner separated his shoulder in Week 8 and missed two games with the injury. He returned against the Browns last Thursday and had five rushes for ten yards and one reception for six yards before leaving with the aggravation.

Fantasy football analysis: Steelers RB James Conner

It seems a decent bet Conner misses Week 12, which would boost Jaylen Samuels’ value once again. Benny Snell’s status is up in the air, but even if healthy, he would remain behind Samuels on the depth chart.

It’s a choice matchup for whomever is leading the way given how awful the Bengals have been. The Steelers will return to practice on Wednesday, at which point we’ll get a formal practice participation report. That will give us a better handle on Conner’s status for Sunday.
