UPDATE: Chris Godwin got into the end zone in the third quarter to cut the Saints lead to 27-17. Late in the third quarter, Godwin has three receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown, while Evans has two receptions for 20 yards.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are struggling against the New Orleans Saints, and the team’s top pass catchers are having issues. The Bucs trail the Saint 20-7 after the first half of action. Chris Godwin did not catch a single pass in the first half and Mike Evans has only one reception for six yards. Evans made his lone catch in the final minute of the half.
Evans and Godwin have been targeted a combined three times. Tight end Cameron Brate has been targeted a team-high five times and has four receptions for 28 yards.
