Phillip Lindsay to get most of the carries in Week 11

Phillip Lindsay has led Royce Freeman in touches, but this could be the week that gap widens in a sizable way. We break down the Week 11 fantasy football implications.

If you have both Denver running backs in your fantasy football league, there is a clear answer on whom to start. Phillip Lindsay has been the leader of the backfield, and NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted on Sunday that Lindsay will get most of the carries in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Royce Freeman will still get work, but this could be the week their split turns a little more one-sided. Through ten weeks, Freeman has 93 carries and 27 receptions while Lindsay has 118 carries and 25 receptions. Maybe this week Lindsay moves up closer to 20 carries, while Freeman drops more consistently into single digits.

The Broncos face a tough Vikings defense, so if this holds up, Freeman is a guy you probably want to sit this weekend. He does not lose all fantasy value, but this does not strike me as the kind of matchup where he has much upside.
