The NFL wraps up Week 11 Sunday with an ugly but important matchup on Sunday Night Football. The Rams host the Bears with both teams desperately needing a win to stay in the playoff race. However, this is not an aesthetically pleasing matchup considering how both teams have performed much of the season.
The Bears are awaiting word on David Montgomery, who rolled his ankle in practice and is questionable. Inactives are due at 6:50 p.m., so we’re left to wait until then potentially for an answer on his Week 11 status. Rams tight end Gerald Everett is listed as questionable as well, but the expectation is he will play.
This game has the second lowest point total for Week 11, which suggests it could end up a defensive battle. Mitchell Trubisky is not particularly good and Jared Goff has struggled with consistency, so this could end up being a less than ideal matchup for offensive skill position players.
Matchups are key, but it helps to see what the analytics are saying about potential performances. Looking at ESPN fantasy projections for season-long leagues (1/2 PPR setting), the secondary receiving options are of some note. Robert Woods and Taylor Gabriel are two guys with decent projections in a matchup that might not have nearly enough quality passes going around.
This could be an ugly one, but maybe they surprise us. I think the Rams have the edge, but I don’t think we see a blowout either way. Regardless, here are Week 11 SNF projections to help you further improve your fantasy chances!
