Jordan Howard to sit in Week 11

The Eagles will be without running back Jordan Howard in Week 11, but that adds considerable value to Miles Sanders. We break it down.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without running back Jordan Howard, according to multiple reports. Howard was listed as questionable with a shoulder injury on the final injury report after three straight days of limited practices. The Eagles signed Jay Ajayi heading into the weekend.

Miles Sanders will get the start on Sunday vs. the New England Patriots. Boston Scott will serve as his backup, and Ajayi will get some touches as well, according to Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy football analysis: Eagles RB Miles Sanders

This is a pretty big opportunity for Sanders. The Patriots run defense isn’t bad, but it’s weaker than the pass defense. The Eagles are also missing Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson, so the running backs and tight ends will be heavily relied upon in this game.

Sanders’ career high in touches in this his rookie season came in Week 3 when he had 13 rushes for 53 yards and two receptions for 73 yards. It seems a good bet he surpasses 20 touches in this game as the starter. Scott will get some work as well, but Sanders will be the guy. Even if the Eagles fall behind by a sizable amount, Sanders will see plenty of work in the passing game given the lack of quality wide receivers on the depth chart.
