What to do with Greg Olsen in Week 11 fantasy football

Greg Olsen broke out of a slump last week. Can he keep it going this week against the Falcons?

Before last week, Greg Olsen had brought in 11-of-21 targets for 110 yards and no touchdowns through five games. Last week, against the Packers, Olsen caught 8-of-10 target for 98 yards, almost matching those five games.

The good news is that Olsen still has a heartbeat. The bad news is that he can go on such a long drought. His usage is also a positive, as he plays over 90 percent of the snaps and doesn’t spend a lot of time blocking. There aren’t many tight ends that have that kind of workload.

Fantasy football analysis: Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen

The Panthers host the Falcons in a matchup with a 49 point over/under. There should be scoring in this game, and if James Bradberry is out again, I like the Falcons chances to make it a game. That would push Olsen into a more prominent receiving role against a middling defense against tight ends and a weak overall defense against the pass.

Olsen’s good game last week is an excellent sign that he’s still someone that Kyle Allen wants to get involved. The high over/under gives me hope that Olsen will be able to provide us with Top-10 value this week in an extremely thin position.
