There have been numerous tweets and comments comparing the injury to that of former NFL running back Bo Jackson. He suffered necrosis in his hip, which is a decidedly more significant issue that came about with a certain lack of understanding initially. It would appear the prompt treatment for Tagovailoa has him moving in the right direction.
He will not play the rest of the season, and the next step for him will be the 2020 NFL Draft. Mac Jones will replace Tagovailoa in the starting lineup for the near future.
