The Sunday kickoffs for Week 11 are almost here, and it’s time to start plotting out your Week 11 DFS lineups. In Week 10, a lot of the usual suspects dominated, but we had some under-the-radar names step up in a big way to key folks to victory.
If you splurge elsewhere in your DFS lineup, you might need to scrap the bottom of the barrel to fill out the rest of your lineup. If you’re able to save a little more money on a player, who not make it the tight end position?
So here are three best tight end plays under $4,000 that could provide the best value for Week 11. Values from DraftKings.
Greg Olsen (CAR) - $3,900
Greg Olsen might be in his 13th season in the NFL, but he’s still a reliable fantasy tight end in 2019. His average of 10.3 fantasy points per game is above young studs like OJ Howard and Eric Ebron. With the Carolina Panthers hosting the division rival Atlanta Falcons this week - who boast the NFL’s 24th-ranked defense against opposing tight ends - Olsen could have a solid, if unspectacular, game on Sunday.
TJ Hockenson (DET) - $3,600
Hockenson set the NFL world on fire in Week 1, catching 6 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, that looked to be more a product of the Arizona Cardinals being unable to defend opposing tight ends rather than a sign of things to come for Hockenson. This week, the Detroit Lions are set to take on their most favorable tight end matchup since Week 1 in the Dallas Cowboys, so if Hockenson was to rekindle his early season glory, there won’t be much better of an opportunity than this week.
Noah Fant (DEN) - $3,700
On the other side of the Hockenson spectrum is Noah Fant, who was quiet for most of 2019 and then had his biggest game of the season last week, going for 115 and a touchdown. He would be a risky play this week after such a great game last week against the Cleveland Browns, but it’s possible the Denver Broncos found their best tight end and quarterback combination since Julius Thomas and Peyton Manning.
