Devonta Freeman, Austin Hooper ruled out for Week 11

The Falcons will be missing two big weapons in Week 11. We break down the fantasy football implications.

The Atlanta Falcons announced their final injury report on Friday, and as expected, tight end Austin Hooper and running back Devonta Freeman have both been ruled out for Week 11 vs. the Carolina Panthers. Hooper suffered an MCL sprain last week and is expected to miss a month. Freeman suffered a foot sprain and could miss two weeks.

In Hooper’s absence, Luke Stocker and Jaeden Graham will split the tight end workload. Stocker will likely be the starter, but expect Graham to get plenty of snaps. Neither is a viable fantasy football option and Hooper owners are best suited looking elsewhere.

In Freeman’s absence, Brian Hill is getting the start. Ito Smith is out for the year with a concussion, so Hill will get the bulk of the workload. Kenjon Barner will probably get some snaps as well, but Hill is the player most worth owning in fantasy football. He faces a Panthers defense that was run over by Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams last week, so he is a decent fantasy start this week.
