This contest features two of the worst teams in football. The Jets and Washington have combined for a 3-15 record, and a -219 point differential. This should be some pretty terrible football on Sunday, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be interesting from a betting perspective! The Jets are coming off of a win against the cross-town rival Giants in which they scored 34 points, a season high. However, they have the worst passing game in the league, coming in at just 3.3 adjusted net yards per pass attempt. They rank 22nd defensively in that statistic, and first in rush defense by yards per attempt. This should force rookie Dwayne Haskins to throw if New York can generate any points.

With their record being what it is, Washington has decided to stick with the aforementioned Haskins as the starter for the rest of the year. Haskins has yet to throw a touchdowns this season in three appearances. To date, the team has had a more productive offense with Haskins on the field.

With Haskins: 18.2% explosive pass rate, 8.11 yards per pass attempt
Without Haskins: 11.6% explosive pass rate, 7.09 yards per pass attempt

The one major negative right now in Haskins’ game is taking sacks. He has been sacked 15.4% of the time so far. Defensively, Washington ranks 20th in adjusted net yards per pass attempt defense.
