The NFL kicks off Week 11 in a little over 24 hours, and that means it’s time for another look at the betting splits for the week. The biggest split in terms of money bet is the Kansas City Chiefs at -4 over the Los Angeles Chargers with 99 percent of the very early money on the Chiefs. Cowboys-Lions (96/4) and Jets-Washington (93/7) both have over 90 percent of the money in the direction of the road team.
The biggest split in terms of total bets taken is a tie between Cowboys-Lions and Chiefs-Chargers at 94/6. It’s safe to say with all of these over 90 percent games there will be some movement eventually in the other direction.
One interesting angle on viewing betting splits is when you have a reverse split. When the bets are in one direction but the money is in the other direction, it can suggest potentially some professional money — or some irrationally confident bettors! This week’s one bit of early reverse split is Texans-Ravens, with 71 percent of the handle on Houston and 77 percent of tickets bet on Baltimore.
