Emmanuel Sanders, George Kittle will both be game-time decisions for Week 11

The 49ers are hoping to get two big weapons back for Week 11. We break down the fantasy football implications of injury news related to Emmanuel Sanders and George Kittle.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan met with the media on Tuesday following Monday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and had some notable injury updates to provide. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is dealing with a rib cartilage injury, and is currently day-to-day. It looks like he will probably end up listed as questionable for Week 11.

Tight end George Kittle did not play on Monday due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 9. Shanahan said he has a chance of playing on Sunday but will likely also be a game-time decision.

Fantasy football analysis: 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders, TE George Kittle

Deebo Samuel was the big play-maker for the 49ers in Monday’s loss. He’s had his ups and downs as a rookie, but finished with a season-high eight receptions for 112 yards and was targeted 11 times.

Samuel is looking more and more like a top option for the 49ers, but once Sanders and Kittle are back playing, I’m curious to see how the target distribution works. Kittle is a must-start when healthy, and Sanders has looked like a must-start since joining the 49ers.

The 49ers return to practice Wednesday, although a short week after Monday Night Football usually means a light practice on Wednesday. The Thursday and Friday practice participation reports will be more instructive.
