The Seattle Seahawks likely dodged a potential serious blow in their Week 10 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett suffered a leg bruise that sent him to the hospital following the game, but he is feeling better and this should not be a big deal moving forward, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Carroll indicated the trip to the hospital was precautionary. He spoke on Seattle’s ESPN Radio station on Tuesday and said, “It should be ok, it shouldn’t be a big problem going forward...there’s concern there could be some complications when you have something like that.”
The Seahawks head into their bye in Week 11, which provides Lockett a week to see how his leg comes around. The Seahawks will likely hold a practice next Monday, and then return for their normal practice schedule starting Wednesday. That Wednesday practice is when we’ll get their first official practice participation report, at which point we’ll see if this will carry into Week 12 or not.
