Brandin Cooks ruled out for Week 11

The Rams will be without wide receiver Brandin Cooks for at least one more week. We break down the fantasy football implications of Cooks being ruled out quickly for Week 11.

The Los Angeles Rams wasted no time announcing that wide receiver Brandin Cooks will not play in Week 11, per J.B. Long. Cooks suffered a concussion in Week 8 and visited a specialist during the Rams’ bye week.

He returned to limited participation in practice on Friday, but the fact that he was ruled out so quickly this week is concerning. It doesn’t mean he won’t be able to return in Week 12, but for a concussion it’s particularly concerning.

Fantasy football analysis: Rams WR Brandin Cooks

Cooks had an up-and-down season prior to the concussion, but was going to remain rostered and an occasional starter. If you can afford to keep him on your bench, do so. But if you need some roster help, it’s not the worst time to release Cooks. We’re entering the final three-week stretch before fantasy football playoffs get going. It’s not time to hope that a player will return when you need wins now.
