The San Francisco 49ers announced their inactives for Week 10 Monday Night Football, and tight end George Kittle is among them. Kittle suffered a knee injury in Week 9, and while he played most of the rest of the game, he did not practice at all leading up to tonight’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The team activated Garrett Celek off injured reserve Monday afternoon, and will likely start Ross Dwelley in Kittle’s place. Dwelley has served as the No. 2 tight end while Celek has rehabbed from offseason back surgery. Dwelley has seven receptions for 28 yards on the season.
Fantasy football analysis: 49ers tight ends
Kittle’s status moving forward is uncertain, so keep an eye out for the coming injury reports later this week. For tonight, Dwelley holds little fantasy value. He will get some looks, but Emmanuel Sanders and the other wide receivers are likely to get that much more work in the passing game. Fullback Kyle Juszczyk is returning and he too could see some additional passing game work.
