As is tradition, Griffin will be on a minutes restriction for tonight’s game, which will limit his viability in season-long and DFS formats.

Breaking down betting lines for Timberwolves vs. Pistons

On DK Sportsbook, you won’t be able to find many player props on Griffin, and rightfully so, he’s not expected to play a full workload and we’re not sure when he’ll get that minutes boost. So for now, it may be best to wait and see on rolling Griffin into your lineup(s).

From first glance, Griffin’s return should cut into Andre Drummond’s production slightly. The limited minutes should make Drummond ($9,800 on DraftKings) a decent GPP play given his ownership may be a bit down with Griffin back. We know the type of upside Drummond has and he’s been an absolute monster on the boards, with at least 20 rebounds in five games this season. It also helps that Minnesota is one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA, allowing 48.7 boards per game, fifth-most in the League.

On the T-Wolves side, both Derrick Rose (hamstring) and Jeff Teague (illness) are questionable to play, so monitor their status leading up to tip-off. If one of both are ruled out, expect Josh Okogie ($4,700) to see big minutes off the bench, with Treveon Graham ($3,800) and rookie Jarrett Culver ($4,800) operating as the primary ball-handlers. All three make for decent value plays given their salaries are all sub-$5K. It’s worth noting that this game is tied for the lowest implied total (212), so not exactly the best place to look on tonight’s DFS slate.

UPDATE: Derrick Rose (hamstring) says he’ll play tonight. Jeff Teague (illness) has been ruled out.
