The wide receiver position was the gold mine in Week 10. Four players scored over 30 DKFP, headlined by Christian Kirk completely going nuts for 40.8 DKFP. With the way some of the matchups are set up in Week 11, we could see more of the same on the 11-game main slate. Let’s take a look at two players in particular and how it lines up for them. Michael Thomas ($9,900) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Despite a very poor game from Drew Brees, Thomas still did his part, scoring 31.2 DKFP by catching 13 of his 14 targets for 152 yards. All those yards accounted for 52% of the yards thrown by Brees, which sums up the type of day the quarterback had. Nonetheless, Thomas continues to dominate at the wide receiver position week after week, after week. Now he has a matchup against the putrid Bucs secondary? How do you fade this guy?

With this matchup, we expected a bump in salary for Thomas. However, I didn’t think it would go up by $1,600! With that increase, Thomas is $9,900 and is $1,800 more than Deandre Hopkins, who has an $8,100 salary against the Ravens. Even with the salary as high as it is, it’s going to be really tough to fade Thomas in this game. The Bucs secondary is allowing a ridiculous 50 DKFP average to opposing receivers, which includes 210 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns scored, both of which are the highest in the league. In coverage, Thomas is going to see a lot of Sean Murphy-Bunting, who in his limited time in coverage has been targeted against 20 times allowing 13 receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Honestly, it doesn’t matter who he sees, Thomas is unstoppable.

Stefon Diggs ($6,900) vs. Denver Broncos

Even without Adam Thielen on the field, Diggs could only come away with 7.9 DKFP against the Cowboys. Diggs only saw five targets and turned them into three receptions for 49 yards. It was a really disappointing outing when Diggs was by far the WR1 coming into this game against a Cowboys secondary that has been very tough against opposing receivers. Diggs only getting five targets was a bit puzzling but still, I think it’s safe to say that we expected more, especially with the five targets a game averaged by Thielen being left on the field.

Week 11 won’t get much better for Diggs as the Vikings will be taking on the Broncos at home. The Broncos secondary has been amongst the best in the league, allowing an average of 26.8 DKFP, which is the second-lowest in the league. Only the Patriots have allowed a lower average of fantasy points at 24. Diggs could end up drawing shadow coverage from CB Chris Harris, who while doing so has held opposing receivers to 184 yards on 10 receptions. Harris has shadowed Allen Robinson, Davante Adams, T.Y. Hilton and Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham had the majority of those yards, accounting for 81 in Week 9. Even with a $700 drop in salary since we last saw Diggs on the main slate, this is a very tough sell in a matchup that does not bring much upside.
