Aaron Jones continues dominating in the end zone

Packers RB Aaron Jones is rolling right now. The Packers Week 11 bye does not come at an ideal time for fantasy owners.

The Green Bay Packers held off the Carolina Panthers in Week 10, beating them 24-16 to maintain their lead in the NFC North and leapfrog the New Orleans Saints in the battle for a first round bye. The Packers’ defense was big in the win, but credit also to running back Aaron Jones, who is finding the end zone with increasing regularity.

Jones rushed the ball 13 times for 93 yards, and finished with three touchdowns. He did not get targeted in the passing game, and finished the day with 27.30 DKFP. Jones now has 11 rushing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns. He is now tied with Christian McCaffrey for the most touchdowns among non-quarterbacks this season.

Fantasy football analysis: Packers RB Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams

Jones has been dominant for fantasy owners, but Williams still finds himself regularly involved on offense. In Week 10, both running backs had 13 carries. Williams finished with 63 yards, and was targeted once in the passing game. He is developing into a decent alternative, but Jones’ presence as the red zone option cuts into Williams’ fantasy value big time.

What has been most interesting is that Jones has gone from being the team’s leading receiver in recent weeks to an afterthought. He had three targets in Week 9 and finished with one reception for a three-yard loss. This week, he had no targets. Maybe the return of Davante Adams means less passing game work for Jones.

The Packers head into their bye in Week 11. It’s not ideal timing for fantasy owners and DFS fans, but what are you gonna do?
