It’s safe to say the quarterback position was wild in Week 10. Daniel Jones, of all players, was the highest scoring on the Sunday main slate, earning himself 34.32 DKFP in the 34-27 loss to the Jets. However, with Jones off the Week 11 main slate, we’ll take a look at two other players and how their matchup looks for this week. Salaries via DraftKings.

Lamar Jackson ($7,700) vs. Houston Texans

If you haven’t done so yet, make sure you watch Jackson for a complete game. He’s truly a special player that has made some remarkable plays and video game type runs. After another monster game in Week 10, in which he scored 33.42 DKFP, Jackson sees a $400 increase in his salary in Week 11. This is coming off a game where he only made 17 pass attempts and seven rushes. Amazingly, with this limited amount of opportunities, he still threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 56 yards and another touchdown. Jackson has slate breaking abilities and Week 10 showed that.

Priced as the most expensive QB on this slate, he draws a very enticing matchup against the Texans. Opposing quarterbacks are averaging 23 DKFP, 295 passing yards and 18 passing touchdowns. They’ve yet to face a mobile quarterback aside from Gardener Minshew, who ran for a total of 90 yards in their two matchups. In the other seven games, they’ve only rushed a combined 29 yards. The Texans against the run land around league average in terms of fantasy points allowed and DVOA. I have no doubt Jackson is primed for another huge week and still be worth the price of admission. Jackson has become someone you simply can’t fade on a week-to-week basis.

Drew Brees ($6,900) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

One of the biggest disappointments of Week 10, who is the second-most expensive quarterback on the slate, was Brees. In a matchup that so many were expecting him to smash in against a very poor Falcons secondary, Brees only threw for 287 yards on 32 pass attempts with no touchdowns. This gave one of the most expensive quarterbacks a score of just 11.4 DKFP, resulting in him being a massive bust on the slate. This Falcons team had allowed opposing quarterbacks to throw at least two touchdowns in six straight games, averaging 27.3 DKFP in that span. So for Brees to throw up the dud that he did, yikes.

If there was ever a bounce-back spot for Brees, we have the perfect matchup for it. Going up $200 in salary, he’ll face the Buccaneers, who are allowing an average of 26.3 DKFP, 311 passing yards and 22 total touchdowns, all of which are ranked amongst the highest in the league. The weapons that Brees has are all in a fantastic spot, specifically Michael Thomas ($9,900). The Bucs secondary is giving up a remarkable 50 DKFP to opposing receivers, which is the highest in the league by a long shot. For reference, the Jets are sitting with an average of 43.9 DKFP. Don’t let this weird game in Week 10 deter you, Brees should right the ship in Week 11.
