The Detroit Lions have downgraded quarterback Matthew Stafford to OUT for Week 10 vs. the Chicago Bears, per NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport. Jeff Driskel is expected to get the start.

Rapoport reported that Stafford had an MRI on Friday and it indicated he would not be able to be cleared in time for Sunday’s game.

Fantasy football analysis: Lions QB Matthew Stafford, Jeff Driskel

This is huge if you were counting on Stafford. Driskel is not a viable starting option for the time being until we see what he looks like. This also downgrades Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola, T.J. Hockenson, and whomever the Lions send out at running back.

This does not mean you bench all of them, but you have to lower expectations and consider your alternatives. Some quarterbacks available in a majority of ESPN leagues include Colts QB Brian Hoyer, Giants QB Daniel Jones, Titans QB Ryan Tannehill, and Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky. Hoyer is the best option against a bad Dolphins team.
