Is this the week that the New York Jets will finally have sophomore tight end Chris Herndon back on the field? It seems likely based on everything that we know of in the lead up to this game.
Herndon is officially questionable as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. That situation has kept him off the field once he finished serving his four-game suspension to start the season. He finally suited up last week, but did not see any action, as he still was not back to 100 percent.
But this week... this just might be the one. Head coach Adam Gase said Friday that Herndon was likely to see his first real action of the season in Week 10. The only question now is just how much action he’ll see.
Fantasy football analysis, New York Jets TE Chris Herndon
While this is great news for the Jets and their fans, who could use a little positive news these days, fantasy footballers may want to overlook Herndon this week. First, he may not be truly healthy, which could limit his productivity as he gets his legs back up to game speed. Second, Ryan Griffin has done alright for himself without Herndon on the field.
Last week, Griffin had six catches for 50 yards. The week before that, he had 66 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Given that Griffin will only cost you $3,100 compared to Herndon’s $3,800 in DK leagues this week, it’s Griffin who should be on your fantasy radar.
