Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman, Rex Burkhead listed as questionable for Week 6 TNF

We’ve reached “questionable” season for the Patriots. Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman, and Rex Burkhead all listed as such for Week 6. We break down the fantasy implications.

The New England Patriots released their final injury report for Week 6 Thursday Night Football, and several notable skill position players are listed as questionable. Wide receivers Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon are joined by running back Rex Burkhead with the designation. Wide receiver Phillip Dorsett has been ruled out for the game.

Fantasy football analysis, Patriots injury report

We’ve reached the point in the season where Bill Belichick will be listing numerous players as questionable. At some point, Tom Brady will become one of those players, because that’s just how it operates. Even when we know they’ll all be playing, Belichick will do what he can to game the system.

The Patriots face an abysmal Giants team that will be missing a host of players on offense and feature a shaky at best defense. This seems like a potential blowout, which means the game script could turn this into a Sony Michel, James White, Rex Burkhead game.

But even if that is the case, I suspect we see the Patriots try and run up the score early. Look for Tom Brady to be plenty busy in the early going. He, Edelman, and Gordon are all solid fantasy starts on the short week.
