The Carolina Panthers are headed to London to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6, and they are ensuring some rest for their offensive star. Running back Christian McCaffrey sat out the team’s Wednesday practice. He is listed with a back injury, but media are referring to it as a rest day.

McCaffrey left Sunday’s game near the end with what head coach Ron Rivera described as cramps. Reggie Bonnafon replaced him and proceeded to break off a 59-yard touchdown run to finish off the Jaguars. McCaffrey finished the day with 237 total yards and three touchdowns.

Fantasy football analysis, Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey

Fantasy owners should not worry about McCaffrey. It’d be nice to not see him on the injury report at all, but it would be a shock if he sat out Sunday’s game in London. That being said, given the lengthy flight across the ocean, the team wants to make sure nothing tightens up. The Buccaneers have given up the sixth most fantasy points to running backs, so it’s safe to say this is a juicy matchup for McCaffrey.
