Josh Rosen to start remainder of season as Dolphins quarterback

Pray for Josh Rosen.

The Miami Dolphins might be tanking for Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL Draft, but they’ll at least get a chance to see if Josh Rosen can be of any value. Head coach Brian Flores announced on Wednesday that Rosen will be the team’s starting quarterback for the remainder of the 2019 season, per Dolphins reporter Armando Salguero.

Ryan Fitzpatrick started Week 1 and Week 2, but Josh Rosen replaced him briefly in the first game, and for good in the second game. Rosen was 1 of 3 for five yards and an interception in the first game. Since permanently replacing Fitzpatrick, Rosen is 42 of 81 for 477 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. The Dolphins acquired Rosen from the Arizona Cardinals this past offseason after the latter spent the No. 1 overall pick on Kyler Murray.

Fantasy football analysis, Miami Dolphins

Rosen has no fantasy value, and there’s not much on the Dolphins roster as a whole. Kenyan Drake is still the starting running back with 113 rushing yards and 107 receiving yards. Preston Williams and DeVante Parker each have 201 receiving yards and a touchdown. The most interesting possibility would be if Drake is traded and what that means for Kalen Ballage and Mark Walton as potential starting running backs for the team.
