The San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns released their inactive reports for Week 5 Monday Night Football, and both teams are welcoming back a key weapon. The 49ers announced that running back Tevin Coleman will be active and the Browns announced that wide receiver Jarvis Landry will be active.
Coleman suffered a high ankle sprain injury in Week 1, and had been sidelined ever since. He returned to practice this week following the 49ers bye. Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert handled the bulk of the work in his place with Jeff Wilson handling goal line duties. Wilson is inactive for this game.
Landry suffered a concussion and shoulder injury last week. He was a DNP on Wednesday this week, but then got in full practices on Thursday and Friday.
Fantasy football analysis, San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman
It’s hard to tell how the 49ers will split up the carries. My guess is Coleman and Breida split the bulk of the carries, and Mostert gets a little work behind them. I could see a 40/40/20 split between the three of them, but that’s a bit of guesswork. Coleman was the starter coming into the season, but Breida and Mostert both showed during his absence that they deserve more work when he returns to action.
Fantasy football analysis, Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry
Landry remains in his slot position battling 49ers nickel back K’Waun Williams. The 49ers are without cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, and so we might see one of the safeties shading to help Emmanuel Moseley when he’s facing Odell Beckham Jr. If that’s the case, it’s a little less help over the top for Williams against the prolific Landry. He is a solid start against the 49ers.
