Editor’s update 10:21 p.m.: The Chiefs have ruled out Sammy Watkins from returning to SNF.

The Kansas City Chiefs have lost wide receiver Sammy Watkins early in Sunday Night Football with a hamstring injury. Watkins was on the final injury report with a shoulder injury, but was active for the game. Now the team has announced he is questionable to return to the game due to the hamstring injury.

Watkins was a full participant on the Chiefs injury report on Wednesday or Thursday, with the team acknowledging a shoulder issue. However, on Friday he was downgraded to limited and listed as questionable on the final report.

Fantasy football analysis, Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins

The Chiefs have plenty of other options without Watkins. Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson have both broken out this season, and SNF is seeing Byron Bringle leading the team with three receptions for 37 yards.

We’ll continue to track this injury. There’s nothing you can do right now, but it could be something to address on the fantasy football waiver wire heading into Week 6.
