The New England Patriots play Washington in Week 5, and frankly, they should blow them out. The big question becomes what to do with Tom Brady’s wide receivers in a game where they might start running the ball more in the second half. Julian Edelman was a question mark with his chest injury, but he is expected to play. That means you have decisions to make with him, Josh Gordon, and Phillip Dorsett.
The Patriots offense struggled to get going against the Buffalo Bills in Week 4, so the better comparison given this matchup might be their win over the New York Jets in Week 3. In that game, Gordon had six receptions for 83 yards, Edelman had seven receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown, and Phillip Dorsett had six receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy football analysis, Patriots WRs Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett
The Patriots might run a bit more, but I think we see them put the pedal to the metal to build a big early lead. It’s possible we see one or two of these receivers step up, but all three are worth a start. If you have more than one of them, we’d rank them Edelman, Gordon, then Dorsett. Edelman has a little more PPR value while Gordon might have a little more standard value. Dorsett is a flex option in either.
Start/Sit recommendations

Josh Gordon: Start as WR
Phillip Dorsett: Start as flex
