Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Oakland Raiders, and his status for Week 5 is now in question. Mack sat out practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but got in a full practice on Friday. He is listed as questionable for a huge Sunday Night Football contest against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Mack left in the fourth quarter of Week 4 and never returned due to the ankle injury. Mack rushed 11 times for 39 yards, but was never targeted in the passing game. Nyheim Hines was targeted six times and caught all six for 39 yards.
Fantasy football analysis, Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack
A full final practice suggests Mack should play. A late game is never ideal for potential game-time decisions and fantasy football, but if you’ve got Mack, you’re safe playing him. If you have Hines, he’s a strong PPR play vs. the Chiefs. Mack could help the Colts keep the Chiefs offense off the field, but odds are pretty good the Colts will be in catch-up or just a crazy maintain pace kind of mode. Mack is a strong standard and decent PPR start, while Hines is strictly a PPR start.
