Editor’s update: Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport are both reporting that T.Y. Hilton is expected to play on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs. There is always concern about a late game start, but they both seem more positive about Hilton than Marlon Mack, so you should comfortable starting Hilton.
Is T.Y. Hilton going to play this week or not? We might not know until Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts wide receiver is officially listed as questionable with a quad injury that kept him out last week. He was limited at practice on Thursday and Friday, making it that much tougher to make an educated guess as to whether or not he’ll suit up in Kansas City.
The Colts don’t throw the ball much, but when they do, it’s usually going to Hilton. They really could have used him in last week’s loss to the Raiders, even though quarterback Jacoby Brissett did throw three touchdowns. Hilton has scored four times in the first three games of the season.
Complicating Indy’s offensive picture even more this week is running back Marlon Mack, who’s also listed as questionable.
There are signs of optimism that Hilton will play this week. The Indianapolis Star noted Friday that Hilton hasn’t historically needed to practice in order to play on Sunday.
Fantasy football analysis, Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton
The Colts don’t play until Sunday night, which complicates the decision-making process even more. On top of that, this is a tough game for Hilton and the Colts. The Chiefs defense is doing a pretty good job of keeping a lid on opposing passing games, even the high-flying Ravens. The conservative play would be to leave Hilton on the bench.
