How to handle Davante Adams injury in Week 5 fantasy football

The Packers will be without their top receiver this week. Here’s what you need to know.

Davante Adams will not play this week against the Dallas Cowboys, despite the 10-day break between games. The Green Bay Packers wide receiver is dealing with a case of turf toe that flared up last week.

Adams was on fire during the Pack’s game last Thursday against the Eagles. He had 10 catches for 180 yards, a career high, before his toe injury became too much for him to deal with. That was his second triple-digit yardage game of the season so far.

The good news for the Packers is that Adams’ injury doesn’t seem to be a long-term concern. It was reported earlier this week that he could be back on the field in time for next week’s game against the Lions.

Adams has huge lead as the Packers’ leading receiver this season with 378 yards, but he still hasn’t found the end zone. Without Adams, it could mean more work for Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
