The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up their final practice of Week 5, and running back Damien Williams appears like he will be back in action this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. Williams suffered the injury in Week 2 and had remained out of practice ever since. He got back on the practice field this week, and was a full participant all three days.

Fantasy football analysis, Kansas City Chiefs RBs Damien Williams, LeSean McCoy, Darrel Williams

The Chiefs have to be ecstatic to have this kind of running back depth, but those of us in the fantasy realm are uncertain what to do. LeSean McCoy and Darrel Williams have split work in his place and have been quite solid. It’s of note because Williams struggled in the first two games. He had 22 rushes for 34 yards and nine receptions for 87 yards.

This is going to be a tough situation to sort out. Will Damien’s return result in Darrel’s benching? Will we see a three-headed monster? Will Damien’s struggles put him third in the priority list? We have no idea and that means this is not a great fantasy option to consider for the time being. You can roll the dice on who might stand out, but it’s guess-work for this first week.
