Washington faces their toughest opponent of the year in Week 5, as they host the unbeaten and defensively dominant New England Patriots. Washington is making a quarterback change, going to veteran Colt McCoy, and they do not yet know if rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin will be available. The team announced he is questionable with his hamstring injury and is a game time decision, according to beat writer John Keim.

McLaurin suffered the injury in practice leading up to Week 4, and sat out the game. He has practiced each day this week, but it has been a limited workout all three days.

Fantasy football analysis, WR Terry McLaurin

Washington needs every weapon it can get, and McLaurin has been a key cog for fantasy owners. The rookie receiver was fantastic the first three weeks, catching 16 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns. If he can get back from the hamstring, he’s quickly approaching lock status for an all-rookie honor, and could end up as a potential Pro Bowl honoree if he keeps it up.

Washington hosts the Patriots at 1 p.m. PT, so we’ll know his status on the early end for fantasy decisions. Paul Richardson and Vernon Davis stand to benefit to some degree if McLaurin is sidelined in a game that will see Washington playing catch-up most of the afternoon.
