The Minnesota Vikings are scuffling along at 2-2, and the situation could get worse before it gets better. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs did not practice on Wednesday amidst reports he is unhappy with the organization. Trade rumors have started to bubble up, even as the Vikings are telling teams Diggs is not available, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
On Thursday, NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted that Diggs has palpable frustration with the Vikings organization, and “teammates are left wondering if he wants to be there.” Rapoport followed up on Anderson’s report that the team is not making him available, but he did out “barring some massive deal.”
Fantasy football analysis, Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs
We’ll continue keeping an eye on the injury report, but if he’s healthy, Diggs seems likely to play on Sunday. If the remaining practice reports include some mention of a new injury, then we can start to worry about his status.
Diggs is coming off his biggest game of the season, catching seven passes for 108 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 4. Given the quality of the Bears defense, that’s impressive. He was the leading receiver by a long shot, and is a must start this weekend against the New York Giants — if he plays.
