Has anyone bounced back from a torn ACL better than Cooper Kupp? We all knew Kupp was Jared Goff’s favorite target but this is getting ridiculous. After Week 4’s outburst in the barn-burner vs. the Bucs, Kupp ranks second in the NFL in receiving yards (388), second in targets (46), third in yards per game (97.0) and second in yards after catch among WRs (193). He’s turning out to be the premier slot receiver in the league and a fantasy football stud week in and week out. His lines the past two weeks — 9-121-1 and 11-101-2 — are eye-popping and the best part is the Rams don’t even need to put up huge point totals for Kupp to go off.
Fantasy football analysis, Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp
At this point, Kupp is easily a top 5 WR, so really there’s nothing more for me to say, right? Wrong! There’s always room for analysis even if the player is a sure-fire start. On paper, the Seahawks appear to be a tough matchup at home. They’ve allowed only 239.5 passing yards per game and rank eighth in total yards allowed (319 per game).
Seattle is always a tough place to play, but figuring the QB-WR matchups tells a different story. The Seahawks have faced Kyler Murray, Teddy Bridgewater, Mason Rudolph and Andy Dalton so far this season. Jared Goff is a step up and the rest of the Rams’ skill position players are pretty imposing. Look what Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas were able to do a few weeks ago. We all know the Seahawks’ secondary is vulnerable and Kupp should see a healthy amount of targets, increasing his floor. Last season the Rams and Seahawks combined to score 131 points in two games. If we see another shootout, we could see another ceiling game from Kupp.
