Jets, Giants among top ten most bet Super Bowl teams at DraftKings

The NFL is at the half way point of the 2019 regular season, with 18 teams having played eight games on their schedule. We’ll be fully through the halfway point after Week 9, but in the meantime, it’s time for a midseason check-in.

DraftKings Sportsbook has listed the New England Patriots as the favorites to win Super Bowl 54. They sit at +225, followed by the New Orleans Saints (+500), the San Francisco 49ers (+800), and the Green Bay Packers (+1000).

DK released a list on Tuesday that listed out the most bet teams when it comes to next February’s Super Bowl. It should be no surprise the Patriots lead the way in both handle and bets. The Eagles, Chiefs, and Saints are the next three teams, none of which is surprising.

Spots five through ten offer some interesting teams for a variety of reasons. The Indianapolis Colts rank tenth in handle taken, but fifth in total bets. It’s safe to say a lot of that came in when it looked like Andrew Luck looked like he might return to football action. The Colts sit at 5-2 and have won three straight, so we’ll see if Jacoby Brissett brings in the wagers over the second half of the season.

The New York Jets and New York Giants both show up in the top ten. DraftKings takes action in several states, but New Jersey is far and away the biggest. It’s safe to say Giants and Jets fans will be financing DK’s national expansion for the foreseeable future given how awful both teams are looking right now.
