The NFL wraps up Week 8 with an atrocious matchup on Monday Night Football with the Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Miami Dolphins. The Steelers are a 14 point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, with Miami continuing to work their way toward the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. They traded Kenyan Drake Monday morning as they continue to unload assets for draft picks.
Meanwhile, your fantasy football lineups are mostly settled, but you might have one or two remaining questions whose answers might be the difference between winning and losing. If you’re playing some DraftKings Showdown, we’ve got lineup strategy and you’ll have your lineup settled by kickoff.
However, if you’re in a traditional fantasy football league, there is less work to be done. There are no significant injuries that are worth noting in this particular matchup. I personally have Mason Rudolph due to Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott being on bye, but I’m rolling otherwise (thanks Aaron Jones and Tevin Coleman!).
Matchups are key, but it helps to see what the analytics are saying about potential performances. Looking at ESPN fantasy projections for season-long leagues (1/2 PPR setting), Benny Snell Jr. is the most interesting player given the chance for a blowout. If the Steelers run through Miami, Snell could get some sizable work behind James Conner. Of course, the Steelers aren’t a great team, so this could end up closer than I might expect.
The Steelers probably win this game, but I’m also not inclined to lay the points with Mason Rudolph. Regardless, here are Week 8 MNF projections to help you further improve your fantasy chances!
